Description
Add fresh Nicola Valley radishes to your table with produce grown right here at Shackan Nursery. We harvest our radishes while they are young for the best flavour and texture.
Young radishes stay firm, crisp, and pleasantly peppery. In addition, both the roots and fresh greens are edible.
We grow our radishes using careful, small-scale methods. Therefore, every bunch supports Indigenous-led agriculture and local food security in the Nicola Valley.

Ways to Enjoy
Enjoy fresh Nicola Valley radishes raw in salads, sandwiches, and vegetable trays. Alternatively, roast them for a softer texture and milder flavour. They are also excellent when quickly pickled.
For longer storage, remove the tops and place the radishes in the refrigerator. However, do not throw away the greens. Instead, wash them thoroughly and add them to pesto, soups, salads, or a quick sauté.
Why Local
Radishes are a fast-growing, cool-season crop that performs well in the Nicola Valley. Because we harvest them locally, they travel only a short distance before reaching your kitchen.
Choosing local produce also keeps more food dollars within the community. Above all, every purchase supports Indigenous-led agriculture and a stronger regional food system.
