Description

Common Juniper

Scientific Name: Juniperus communis

Add an evergreen anchor to your dry landscape with Common Juniper (Juniperus communis), a hardy native shrub found throughout British Columbia. Its needle foliage and blue berry-like cones bring year-round structure and texture.

Common Juniper is superbly adapted to the dry, rocky, well-drained soils of Interior BC. Its low spreading form, evergreen colour, and toughness make it an excellent choice for xeriscapes, rock gardens, and slope stabilization.
