Scientific Name: Solidago canadensis

Light up your late-season garden with Canada Goldenrod (Solidago canadensis), a bright native wildflower found across British Columbia. Its tall golden plumes are one of the most important nectar sources of late summer and fall.

Canada Goldenrod is well adapted to the varied soils of Interior BC and tolerates dry conditions once established. Its arching sprays of yellow flowers bring warmth and movement to pollinator gardens, meadows, and naturalized plantings.

Growing naturally in meadows, roadsides, and open ground, this hardy species fills a critical seasonal gap, feeding pollinators when few other flowers remain in bloom.
