Ancestral Knowledge. Modern Growing Technology.
Shackan Nursery is a 100% Indigenous-owned native plant nursery and food producer in British Columbia’s Nicola Valley.
We grow native plants for restoration and reclamation projects across BC while expanding greenhouse, hydroponic and outdoor food production to strengthen regional food supply and Indigenous food sovereignty.

Climate-ready native plant supply and project-specific growing solutions for ecological restoration, reclamation, rewilding, habitat recovery, erosion control and landscape resilience across Merritt, the Nicola Valley and Interior BC. We grow native trees, shrubs, grasses and restoration plant materials suited to local conditions and diverse restoration objectives.

Bring Shackan into the project early and we can plan production around your species, provenance, quantities, specifications and delivery schedule. Whether you’re planning 5,000 plants next season or a much larger restoration project several years from now, early planning creates more options.
